Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Papertriage software (“the Software”) and the papertriage.com website (“the Site”), operated by ITBASS CONSULTING, SLU (“we”, “us”, “our”), an Andorran Societat Limitada Unipersonal.

1. Acceptance

By installing, accessing, or using the Software or the Site, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, do not use the Software or the Site.

2. License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on the number of machines permitted by your license tier (free, Personal, Professional, or Power). The license is annual unless otherwise stated and does not auto-renew.

The free evaluation grants 250 successful file operations per machine, lifetime, with no time limit.

The Papertriage mobile application (Android) is a separate product with a separate license. A mobile unlock does not grant desktop access, and a desktop license does not grant mobile access.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Software for personal or commercial purposes, including processing client documents in the course of your business. You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Software, except where applicable law expressly permits;
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Software or your license credentials;
  • Use the Software to process content you have no legal right to process;
  • Use the Software to facilitate unlawful activity.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining backups of important files before applying bulk changes. The Software modifies files on your device based on changes you approve; while we provide undo functionality for recent batches, you should not rely on Papertriage as a backup or version-control system for files of significant value.

5. Your content

The Software runs on your own device and processes files you select. We do not receive or store the files you process. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Updates

While your license is active, we provide software updates at our discretion. Updates may include new features, bug fixes, security patches, and minor changes documented in release notes.

7. Disclaimers

The Software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant the Software will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI-generated suggestions will be accurate or appropriate for your purpose. You remain responsible for reviewing all suggested file changes before applying them.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Software or Site shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost profits, or business interruption.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Software at any time. Your paid license remains valid until expiration. If you materially breach these Terms, we may revoke your license; you will retain read-only access for any files already organized.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the Site and, where reasonable, via in-app notification. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Principality of Andorra, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Andorra la Vella, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
